Young generation of Polish composers in their work are not afraid to take on current topics and ask penetrating questions about the reality surrounding us. This connection with the outside world is also visible in the music itself – open to interdisciplinarity, inspired by other fields of art.
Program:
Nikolet Burzyńska Natural Intelligence for chamber ensemble
Jarosław Płonka life of a ghost for cello and chamber ensemble
For Jarosław Płonka, the score of life of a ghost became something like a personal diary. The composer compared the creative process to the painting technique of action painting or literary stream of consciousness, where the creator expresses themselves in a spontaneous and unconstrained manner. The composition consists of two parts: Limbo and Life after, and the main instrument – the cello – becomes more of a provocateur of musical events than a soloist.
