Adam Eljasiński

Adam Eljasiński (1986) — clarinets

Clarinetist, awarded a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music where he has started his musical adventure under prof. Mieczyslaw Stachura. He graduated with honours from the University of Ostrava where he studied under prof. Valter Vitek as well as from the Conservatory of Nice and Paris Conservatory where he studied a wide range of solo and chamber music repertoire with such prominent artists as Michel Lethiec and Florent Heau. He was awarded Le Diplome d’Etudes MusicalesPremier Prix de Conservatoire de Nice and Prix de Virtuosite a l’unanimite.

Adam is touring in Poland and abroad, giving concerts in Europe and Asia. He took part in many renowned music festivals such as International Music Festival in Nice C’est pas classiquePrintemps des Arts in Monte-Carlo; Pablo Casals Academie de Musique in Prades (France); International Clarinet Congress CLARINETFEST in Portugal; Musica Electronica Nova, Warsaw Spring, Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Music Festival in Poland.

Adam is a prizewinner of more than thirty national and international competitions including Michal Spisak Competition (Poland), Competition in Lempdes (France), Grand Prize Virtuoso in Salzburg (Austria). Due to his artistic achievements he has been awarded numerous scholarships, inter alia Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe ScholarshipMinistry of Culture ScholarshipScholarship of CNR de NiceScholarship of Lower-Silesia VoivodeshipScholarship of President of Wroclaw.

He is strongly involved in promoting music of leading young Polish composers. Together with violist, Aleksandra Demowska-Madejska, he forms a unique duo which aims to contribute to expand the musical literature by commissioning new pieces with orchestra. New compositions written by Weronika Ratusinska, Dawid Pajdzik, Wojtek Blazejczyk were dedicated to them and recently premiered with orchestras in Poland and Czech Republic.

Important part of his artistic activities is #ENSEMBLE: a cooperative founded in 2013, specialising in contemporary music. Being a member of this extraordinary collective has led him to perform at the most important festivals in Poland, promoting works of the most outstanding composers such as: Luciano Berio, Peter Maxwell Davies, Louis Andriessen, Thierry de Mey.

He is very active as an orchestral musician, being currently a soloist in the Polish Royal Opera and the Polish Radio Orchestra and cooperating with many leading Polish orchestras such as Sinfonietta Cracovia, Gorzow Philharmonic Orchestra. He was a member of the Orchestre de Jeunes de Mediteranee, Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus, Warsaw Chamber Opera and played under the most eminent conductors: Charles Dutoit, Kristjan Jaarvi, Francois Xavier Roth, Daniel Russel Davies, Rafael Payare, Jesús López Cobos, Maximiliano Valdes, George Tchitchinadze, Gabriel Chmura, Michal Dworzynski, Marek Pijarowski, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Krzysztof Penderecki, José Maria Florencio, Michal Nesterowicz.

Despite his great passion for classical music he also loves jazz, cooking and football.
