“WarszeMuzik Project is a very organic festival. We want to be close to real substance by entering the ruined courtyards of the Warsaw ghetto area and musically by performing works by composers of the interwar period” – said flutist, project curator Anna Karpowicz to PAP.

urb<s>core are closed improvisational forms for urban photographic scores.
Ensemble members selected “archival photographs documenting pre-war life in the Northern District from the collections of the Jewish Historical Institute”. These photographs will be “improvisationally interpreted”.
Umschlagplatz, or the transshipment square, during the war was a place where the Germans gathered Jews from the Warsaw ghetto before deporting them to camps, at ul. Stawki there was a railway ramp. On Sundays, concerts will be held in the middle of the Umschlagplatz Monument. Performing will be pianists Tymoteusz Bies, Marek Bracha and flutist Anna Karpowicz.
